Question 1

Which languages is the LoreHub app available in?

Accepted Answer

Eight: English, Русский, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português (Brasil), 日本語 and 简体中文. Every screen, button, error message and date in the app is translated. A language only goes live once all of it is translated, so you won't land on a screen that is half English.

Question 2

How do I change the app language?

Accepted Answer

Open the language menu with the globe icon on the sign-in screen or on your Profile page, and pick a language. The first time you open LoreHub, it uses your browser language if it's one of the eight, and English otherwise. Your choice is remembered in that browser.

Question 3

Does changing the language change my story?

Accepted Answer

No. The interface language only changes the app around your work. Your dialogues, documents and translations stay exactly as they are.

Question 4

Can people on my team use different languages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each person picks their own interface language, so a writer in Tokyo and a programmer in Berlin can work in the same world, each in their own language.

Question 5

Is this website translated too?

Accepted Answer

The product pages, pricing, the About page and this FAQ are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. Switch with the language menu in the top bar. Documentation, guides and news are in English. Terms and billing details also stay in English.

Question 6

How many languages can I translate my game into?

Accepted Answer

As many as you need, on every plan, Free included. Every line has a stable key, and for each language you decide whether a missing line blocks the build or falls back to the source language. That way you can ship a language early and finish it later.

Question 7

Will you add more languages?

Accepted Answer

We'd like to. Right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew aren't supported yet. Tell us on Discord or Reddit which language you need; it helps us decide what comes next.

Question 8

What is LoreHub?

Accepted Answer

A dialogue and worldbuilding tool for game writers and developers. You write branching dialogue on a visual canvas in the Dialogue Builder and keep your characters, places and timeline in the Worldbuilder. Everything is saved in the open OSF format as plain text files you can keep in Git.

Question 9

Does it work with my game engine?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LoreHub exports your dialogue as JSON or YAML, so any engine that can read a file can use it: Unity, Unreal, Godot or your own. You write a small loader once.

Question 10

Can I test a dialogue before it's in my game?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Switch the Dialogue Builder to Play and click through the dialogue in your browser, with its options, conditions and variables.

Question 11

What happens to my story if I stop using LoreHub?

Accepted Answer

It stays yours. Your story is stored in the open OSF format, and export is available on every plan, Free included. If you leave, you take plain text files that still build without LoreHub.

Question 12

Do paid plans get more features?

Accepted Answer

No. Plans differ in capacity and seats, never in features, and new features ship to every plan at once.

Question 13

Can I use LoreHub for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Free plan gives you one world with 1 seat, 20 dialogues, 20 documents and 100 MB of storage, enough to build and play one real scene. Move to Indie or Team when you need more.

Question 14

What is a world, and what is a seat?

Accepted Answer

A world holds your games, dialogues, documents and assets. A seat is a person you invite into it. Free has one seat, Indie includes three and Team up to ten, all for one price per world.

Question 15

Which currency do you charge in?

Accepted Answer

Euros. Indie is €5 a month or €50 a year per world, and Team is €29 a month or €290 a year per world. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount.

Question 16

How can I pay?

Accepted Answer

Payments go through Stripe. You can pay with credit and debit cards, including JCB and UnionPay. Alipay and WeChat Pay aren't available.

Question 17

Can I pay monthly and cancel any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on Indie and Team. Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel. Yearly plans cost about 17% less and renew once a year. Enterprise is a tailored yearly contract.

Question 18

What happens if my subscription ends?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is deleted. Everything you created stays readable and exportable; you just can't create new content until you subscribe again.
