New pricing: four plans, Indie at €5, and a Team plan priced per world
Nothing changes for the worlds you already have. Existing free worlds keep their limits, and existing paid customers keep their yearly prices. Here is what is new, why we did it, and which plan fits you now.
It keeps 3 seats, 250 dialogues, 100 documents and 2 GB for as long as it exists. No action needed.
Your yearly price is locked and renews at what you pay today.
Start with Free on a real scene, then move to Indie when you want collaborators.
What changed
LoreHub goes from five plans to four, one for each way people use it. Free is for evaluating the tool on one real scene. Indie is €5 a month or €50 a year per world with three seats included, the plan you ship an indie game on. Team is new: €29 a month or €290 a year per world, up to ten seats for the whole team. It replaces the per-seat Basic and Advanced plans. Enterprise is a fully tailored yearly agreement for studios and publishers: every limit and every feature, from seats and storage to onboarding, SSO and dedicated resources, is set with you rather than picked from a card.
The old free Indie plan becomes the paid Indie plan, with the same limits. The new Free plan is smaller on purpose. Every plan can be paid monthly.
One limit disappears entirely: localisation, including change control for translated lines, has no language caps on any plan, Free included, and on every existing world. The old caps of two and five languages are gone. Storing another translation costs us nothing, and indie games routinely ship in five or ten languages, so there was no good reason to charge for the count.
Why we changed it
The old pricing had two problems, and both of them were ours, not yours.
- The free plan was big enough to ship a whole game on. Leviathan, our own game, used 213 dialogues and 119 documents; the free plan allowed 250 and 100. That felt generous, but it meant LoreHub earned nothing from the people who got the most value from it, and a tool that earns nothing cannot keep improving.
- The step after free was a cliff. The next plan up cost €283 per seat per year, paid upfront. For a three-person team that was €849 before you knew whether the tool fit your project, and adding a fourth person silently changed the price unit from world to seat. A €5 plan that already includes three seats, and a Team plan priced per world above it, means you can start small, pay as you go, and know what success will cost before you invest.
- Five plans were too many. Demo, Indie, Basic, Advanced and Enterprise, with two different pricing units, asked you to do arithmetic before you had decided whether to trust the tool. Four plans, one per way of working, is easier to read: try it, ship a game, work on it as a team, or talk to us.
What each step costs a small team

The plans now
Free, Indie and Team are priced per world, whoever works on it. Enterprise is a tailored contract. The full comparison is on the pricing page.

Export still works
What stays the same
Your story is yours. Every dialogue, character and translation is stored in the open OSF format as plain text files you can keep in your own Git repository. Export is available on every plan, including Free, and it always will be. If you leave LoreHub, your story comes with you and still builds without us.
If a paid subscription lapses, nothing is deleted. Everything you created stays readable and exportable; you just cannot create new content until you subscribe again. Plans differ in capacity and seats, never in features, and new features ship to every plan at once.
What the money goes to: the new Dialogue Builder canvas, the Open Story Foundation format and its command-line tools, engine integrations, and the localisation workflow. Every one of these ships to every plan, including Indie.
Questions you might have
I built LoreHub while shipping Leviathan, and for a long time I kept it free because I wanted people to use it. Around nine hundred of you did last year, and I am grateful for that. Charging €5 for the plan people actually ship with is how LoreHub stays around and keeps getting better. If anything about this change does not work for you, write to me; I read every message.
